The short version: we make the match, partner organizations make the hiring decisions. Using the program means you agree to the terms below.
What this program is
The Distillery Labs internship program (DLSIIP) is a matching service. We review applications from students and recent grads, and we introduce promising candidates to partner organizations in the Peoria area. We make the match — the internship itself happens between you and the partner.
The match doesn’t make us your employer
Distillery Labs is not an employer, staffing agency, or employment agency for interns matched with partner organizations through this program. Being matched, interviewed, or placed through DLSIIP does not by itself create an employment, agency, or contractor relationship between you and Distillery Labs. Any internship, employment, or other working relationship that results from a match is solely between the intern and the organization hosting the internship.
Partners make their own decisions
Partner organizations decide independently whom to interview, whom to accept, and on what terms. Each partner is solely responsible for its own selection and hiring practices, and for its interns once placed — including supervision, working conditions, compensation (if any), and compliance with applicable employment, labor, and anti-discrimination laws. Distillery Labs does not direct, control, or participate in those decisions.
No guarantees
We can’t promise that applying leads to a match, that a match leads to an interview, or that an interview leads to a placement. Likewise, we don’t guarantee to partner organizations that any candidate is suitable — application materials and our assessments are provided as-is, based on what applicants tell us.
When the match is with Distillery Labs
Sometimes the match is with us — Distillery Labs occasionally hosts interns on its own team through this program. In that case, Distillery Labs is simply the partner organization for your internship: the working relationship is handled through our own HR process and governed by the offer or agreement we make with you, and we take on the same responsibilities for that internship that any partner takes on for theirs. The matching service itself is still governed by these terms.
Your information
By applying, you confirm that what you tell us is accurate and yours to share. How we collect, use, and protect your information is covered in our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Distillery Labs and its staff and volunteers are not liable for the acts, omissions, or decisions of partner organizations or applicants — including any partner’s selection, hiring, supervision, compensation, or termination decisions — or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the program. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the program is to stop using it.
